Position Summary
This position would be 100 nonmalignant hematology. The Section Leader NonMalignant Hematology will serve as the visionary leader for the NonMalignant Hematology Section/Division and will be responsible for providing leadership in convening interprofessional and interdisciplinary faculty to focus on the mission and vision for the division. The Section Leader is a transformational physician who is nationally/internationally known for clinical research in nonmalignant hematology and will enhance collaborations and attract patients for clinical trials with the goal of increasing survival for all patients with blood disorders. The Section Leader engages leads and energizes the NonMalignant Hematology Section/Division to build new initiatives and collaborations both across and outside of the UNMC . The Section Leader NonMalignant Hematology will be a distinguished clinical researcher who will lead the multidisciplinary team that comprises the NonMalignant Hematology Section/Division. Additionally this Section Leader will collaborate with key constituencies throughout UNMC FPBCC and Nebraska Medicine to expand clinical trials advance clinical translational and basic research initiatives in nonmalignant hematology and to develop dashboards that measure financial performance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Required Qualifications
MD DO or MBBS degree board certification in Internal Medicine and be board certified/eligible in medical oncology and/or hematology.
