About the role

This Quantity Surveyor will focus on estimates and monitoring of construction costs from project feasibility stage through to tender preparation to the construction period and beyond. Working both autonomously and as part of the broader Anvelo team you will be tasked with delivering the highest level of expert services to clients in the construction and infrastructure industry.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Discovery of causative events to compile position papers.
  • Compiling of documents collating statement of facts.
  • Drafting variation and EOT positions.
  • Collating costs in support of matters.
  • Quantum valuations.
  • Experience with contractual negotiations.
  • Review of contract terms and conditions
  • Prepare contractual departure schedules.
  • Identify analyse and manage commercial risk.

Experience and skills needed:

  • Minimum 5 years post graduate experience.
  • Relevant formal qualifications in quantity surveying. Chartered preferred.
  • Experience with EOT claims delay and disruption preferably in the building transport infrastructure and/or heavy construction sectors.
  • Strong working knowledge of contract administration and management.
  • Customer focus and the ability to fully understand client needs.
  • Stakeholder management and ability to influence desired outcomes.
  • Sound financial and commercial acumen.
  • Project controls experience is desirable.
  • Adept at project and change management.
