Licensed Land Surveyor/ Manager
Location: New Bern NC
Contract Duration: Direct Hire (Permanent Position)
Overview of the Role:
Join a dynamic civil engineering firm as a Senior Land Surveyor where youll lead surveying operations manage multiple field crews and play a pivotal role in shaping infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership responsibilities while working on diverse projects that impact communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan organize and direct work of surveyors and technicians
- Manage operations of multiple field crews and ensure quality control
- Prepare legal descriptions and perform complex survey calculations
- Oversee project budgets billing and client management
- Lead business development initiatives within the surveying discipline
- Mentor and develop team members through continuous performance management
- Represent the company in client meetings and industry conferences
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 10 years of experience in professional surveying
- Active Professional Registered Land Surveyor license
- Proficiency in Inroads/Microstation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong knowledge of Federal State and local surveying regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments
- Experience with subsurface utility engineering (SUE) preferred
- Familiarity with aerial mapping LiDAR scanning and sUAS preferred
