Duties And Responsibilities
The duties below are representative of the duties of the classification and are not intended to cover all of the duties performed by the incumbent(s) of any particular position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the scope of work is similar related or a logical assignment to this classification. 1. Teach classes as assigned from the regular Human Services curriculum including the ability to teach courses in social work counseling and case management 2. Assist in curriculum assessment and revisions and new course development 3. Consult with students during regularly scheduled office hours 4. Maintain expertise in current teaching methodologies and curricula 5. Coordinate the Foster and Kinship Care Education grant from the State Chancellors office including but not limited to: a) Coordination of Resource Family Approval trainings b) Hiring and retention of Professional Experts for RFA training c) Post RFA trainings in coordination with the Human Service Agency d) Outreach to community groups associated with foster care e) Track and report expenditures and coordinate with Budget Office on budget development and reporting as well as assist in submitting annual reports as required by the State Chancellors Office f) Coordinating daily program activities g) Assist the instructional specialist and coordinate with program support staff h) Review the participant and training entries on the database from the State Chancellors Office 6. Perform other professional duties as required by contract and general institutional needs
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of any Bachelors degree AND two years of professional experience OR an Associate degree AND six years of professional experience OR the equivalent (see below) Demonstrated cultural competence sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Clinical Social Worker Experience in the Foster Care field Experience with coordination of state county and local Foster Care programs Bilingual English/Spanish
