General Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Participates with children in classroom activities to promote child development in all areas: cognitive social emotional physical language and daily living skills.
- Assists in planning preparation set up and cleanup of daily activities.
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment for the children to include following procedures for sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Assists children with selfcare activities.
- Assisting with writing and posting the daily schedules and lesson plans.
- Maintains positive relationships with children staff and parents.
- Works under the guidance of the classroom teacher; adheres to policies.
- Meets or exceeds yearly requirements for continuing education.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire disaster and safety procedure and regulations as it pertains to work area.
Formal Education:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of one 1 year experience in an early childhood program preferred.
- DCF 45 hour Introductory Training within 12 months of hire.
