Job Description
Overview
Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Histopathology Technicians to support the VA Illiana Health Care System located at 1900 E Main St Danville IL 61832.The schedule is typically Monday through Friday 8:00am4:30pm. Services will be delivered to all requesting departments throughout the lab. Exceptional compensation packages with full benefits are available.

Responsibilities
- Accession and receive samples into VA laboratory information system package for in house testing or send outs to reference laboratories.
- Prepares specimens for analysis; ensuring that the physiologic states of the specimen properties are maintained.
- Perform a full range of automated and nonautomated laboratory procedures in the areas of Cytology and Surgical Pathology according to established protocols.
- Calibrate standardizes adjusts and maintains instruments on which trained. Verifies correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks and monitoring. Identifies the cause of common problems and make simple repairs.
- Perform validation studies on various equipment reagents and products and maintains proper records for quality control reports.
Qualifications
- Certification in Histopathology
- A minimum of one 1 year of experience within the last three 3 years 23 years in an acute care setting is preferred)
- Experience in U.S. Government facilities in preferred
- No sponsorship available
All candidates must be able to:
- Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
- Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
- Lift up to 20 lbs
- Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
- Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
