Electrical Engineer 2 years experience Performing engineering tasks on industrial power distribution and generation projects. Design Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) distribution systems for Combined Heat & Power (CHP) plants campus and/or district energy systems and municipal scale power generation facilities. Provide engineering support for utility interconnections and generator protection schemes. Typical tasks will include Load Flow Analysis Short Circuit Studies Coordination Studies development of One Line Diagrams Protection Schemes and Motor Control circuits for MV and LV circuits. Responsibilities Include:
Develop Design Documents (One Lines Cable/Wire Schedules Interconnect Diagrams equipment specifications etc. for new facilities
Write Specifications for purchase of electrical equipment
Review electrical equipment submittals and ensure proper coordination with overall design. Ensure equipment meets design intent of the project.
Perform calculations and analysis of electrical systems
Travel to client sites during construction
Provide onsite commissioning support
1020 travel is required
Education: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (concentration in power a plus) Pluses: Basic Knowledge of Motor Generators & Transformers Protection Relay National Electric Code (NEC) IEEE Standards and Guidelines Key words BS or MS in Electrical Engineering ETAP and/or SKM Medium Voltage equipment Protection Relay Protection Coordination Study and Relay Programing Short Circuit Study Arc Flash Study National Electric Code (NEC) IEEE Standards and Guidelines Basic Knowledge of Motor Generators & Transformers Medium Voltage Circuit and Protection Medium Voltage Low Voltage Design
