Job Summary

Under the supervision of an Assistant Director for Student Conduct and Community Standards the Coordinator for Student Conduct and Community Standards performs a variety of functions and responsibilities related to the delivery of student services with primary responsibility for adjudication of student conduct cases.

Essential Functions

• Reviews student conduct referrals determines policies under review issues notices of code violation(s).
• Reviews resolved student conduct cases and monitors timely completion of case and sanctions.
• Serves as a student conduct case administrator for cases resulting in sanctions up to Housing Removal and Suspension Deferred. Ensures student conduct cases are adjudicated and resolved per established procedures.
• Supports the processing of student conduct records requests.
• Supports University hearing board activities including serving as a procedural advisor.
• Assists with the creation of student conduct related reports and assessment.
• Assists in the development of educational initiatives and delivery of trainings presentations workshops and publications for members of the university community.
• Utilizes the applicable administrative software system to maintain accurate conduct case records.
• Participates in the development of goals and learning outcomes for student conduct as a member of the Student Conduct and Community Standards Office team.
• Supports programs events and initiatives coordinated by Student Conduct and Community Standards Office and the Dean of Students Collaborative.

• Performs related duties as assigned or required.Understands responsibilities with respect to Title IX Clery and other compliance requirements.
• Demonstrates capacity skill and willingness to engage students and contribute to student success.
• Understands responsibilities with respect to conflicts of interest and behaves in ways consistent both with law and with University policy.
• Contributes toward creating a positive and respectful workplace.Uses access to sensitive and/or not yet public Universityrelated information only in the performance of the responsibilities of position and exercises care to prevent unnecessary disclosure to others.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge Skills Abilities Education Experience Certifications Licensure)

• Bachelors degree and two 2 years of related experience OR a Masters degree and related experience.
• Experience working at a college/university or another educational setting which includes direct experience adjudicating student conduct cases.
• Experience using a webbased conduct software platform to initiate track and record student conduct matters.
• Demonstrated computer skills including word processing spreadsheets and webbased applications.
• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and in developing inclusive communities and work teams.
• Demonstrated experience creating and delivering trainings workshops and presentations.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge Skills Abilities Education Experience Certifications Licensure)

• Knowledge of and experience with Clery Act requirements.
• Two 2 years of experience adjudicating student conduct cases at a residential campus.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

• Typical office environment.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds without restrictions.

Work Schedule

Monday Friday; 8:30am5:00pm; Position may require evening/weekend hours as needed.
