Job Description
Job Title: RegionalController
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Position Overview: As our business expands we are seeking a driven Automotive Regional Controller to oversee and ensure the precision of our financial platform. The Regional Controller will be instrumental in implementing robust compliance measures and managing essential controls to support our financial objectives. This role is pivotal in overseeing individual Controllers handling cash factory receivables reserves Finance Product remittances and overseeing product cancellations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain fixed asset schedules in alignment with corresponding general ledger accounts
- Collaborate closely with Controllersto ensure consistent and timely completion of assignments
- Prepare requested reports for management and department heads
- Reviewvarious tax reports in your region (e.g. sales tax tire disposal tax lease tax tangible personal property taxes)
- Ensure accurate completion of endofmonth procedures and financial statement reporting in line with franchisor and management company requirements
- Oversee review and maintain accounting schedules on a monthly basis
- Review monthly account reconciliations (e.g. floor plan bank finance reserves manufacturers statements accounts payable)
- Provide recommendations for enhancing office operational efficiency
- Conduct weekly meetings with company managers to review expenses outstanding contracts vehicle and accounts receivables among other areas
- Verifying accurate and timely processing of title work is being done at the dealership level
- Review outstanding repair orders (WIP) and parts tickets for timely closure
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5years of experience as a controller in automotive dealerships.
- Preferably experienced with CDK DMS system including Payroll Plus and PayCom.
