Inhome Caregiver Irvington KY
Description of the role
Village Caregiving Bowling Green is seeking a compassionate Inhome Caregiver to join our team in Irvington Kentucky. The Inhome Caregiver will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals in their homes. This includes assisting with activities of daily living medication management and providing companionship. We are looking for someone who is dependable patient and has a genuine interest in helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing grooming and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration
- Help with household chores such as meal preparation cleaning and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings
- Engage in conversation and provide companionship
Requirements
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Prior experience in caregiving or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and assist clients

RESPONSIBILITIES
Help clients take prescribed medication
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments walks etc.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
Do the clients shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cant complete on their own including preparing meals
Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers nurses doctors and family members
Report any unusual incidents to nurses doctors and family members
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
REQUIREMENTS
Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
Outstanding communication time management and interpersonal skills
Physical endurance to complete required tasks
High school diploma or equivalent
