Responsibilities
As a Network Architect youwill join the Fast Hosting Services team at our headquarters inCentennial CO. We are looking for candidates to play a role in the design deployment and support of network infrastructure and software necessary to support our commercialofftheshelf software within colocated data centers remotely managed customer sites and public cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring a diverse IT skill set along with a desire to learn new skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. This position may require participation in an oncall rotation outside of normal operating hours. This position is fully inoffice based in Centennial CO as part of FASTs Hosting Services team.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot issues related to network infrastructure and assist with network configuration.
- Monitor analyze and respond to infrastructure events.
- Maintain an effective and secure network infrastructure.
- Maintain comprehensive network standards policies procedures and documentation.
- Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery as they relate to network infrastructure.
- Provide oncall support.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of experience with network equipment
- 5 years of experience with network firewalls and threat prevention
- 5 years of experience working in Information Technology
- Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP UDP DNS DHCP ARP ICMP and routing protocols (BGP and OSPF)
- Strong understanding of enterpriseclass networks switches and routers (Cisco Arista)
- Strong experience with NextGeneration Firewall setup and configuration (Palo Alto Cisco Fortigate)
- Strong experience with Load Balancer set up and configuration including but not limited to alfex/irules health monitors VIPs (A10 F5
- Strong understanding of network secure protocols (SSL/TLS SSH IPSec/VPN Ciphers)
- Strong understanding of PKI (server certificates mTLS public key cryptography OCSP CRL)
- Strong troubleshooting skills using network monitoring tools and packet analysis (Wireshark Syslog etc.
- Ability to work and effectively prioritize in a highly dynamic work environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Experienceat a CCNA or CCNP level
- Experience with AWS networking components
- Experience with Azure networking components
