As a Credit Risk Controller Analyst within the Credit Risk Controller & Analytics team you will be responsible for providing complete timely accurate and useful data on the credit risk generated by the Firms wholesale lines of businesses. You will have the opportunity to develop new Business Intelligent Solutions to improve analytical and control capabilities and stay up to date on the latest Risk related news and trends across the financial services industry. Your role will involve analysis of the Wholesale Credit portfolio supporting the Credit Risk organization on regulatory exams and assisting in the production of monthly credit risk data analytics and commentary.

We are seeking an analytical team member to join our Credit Risk Controller & Analytics team. This role requires the ability to engage in conceptual discussions with stakeholders and translate these into highquality endproducts. The ideal candidate should be able to understand challenge and narrate the story behind the numbers. Our team is responsible for providing comprehensive timely and accurate data on the firms wholesale credit risk serving key stakeholders such as the Firmwide Chief Risk Officer Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations.

Job responsibilities

  • Identify key risks and trends impacting the wholesale credit portfolio which includes the Commercial & Investment Bank Asset & Wealth Management and riskrated businesses within Consumer and Community Banking
  • Produce a quarterly credit risk update for the Firms CFO to prepare for quarterly Earnings Presentations
  • Support the Chief Risk Officer and senior Risk Executives on various monthly and quarterly presentations to the Board risk committees and participate in adhoc special projects as needed.
  • Produce data metrics for key external disclosures including Earnings Press Release and the CEOs Annual Letter
  • Design and build out intelligent solutions (e.g. Alteryx Tableau) to support analytics.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in key portfolios such as Criticized and NonPerforming as well as key industries such as Commercial Real Estate
  • Lead teamwide meetings assign tasks manage workloads of team members and foster collaboration among teams and across departments.
  • Engage with senior management across Risk and Finance on various internal and external reporting agendas including data quality initiatives.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Bachelors degree
  • Comfortable working with large datasets
  • Excellent presentation skills including the ability to create executive level content.
  • Responsible and takes accountability for deliverables works well under pressure while maintaining great attention to detail and a control mindset
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau Alteryx LLM Suite (Large Language model) and intermediary knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Enjoys collaboration and building strong partnerships; excellent interpersonal skills needed for working within a team environment as well as communicating across departments.
  • Curious Creative problem solver and analytical with a control mindset

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Experience in risk and/or financial reporting and analysis is a plus.
