Job Description
Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) is one of the largest school divisions in Alberta serving the education needs of approximately 17950 students in 42 schools. EIPS is recruiting new Bachelor of Education graduates for the Substitute Teacher List for theschool year.
Open to: Internal and External candidatesgraduating fromaBachelor of Education programin the Winter or Spring of 202425. Other graduating classes are permitted to apply. Previous applicants to our BEd grad postings do not need to reapply.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education
- Must be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe supported and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity analyzing data and using data to inform decision and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
