You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are looking for masters students interested in conducting their thesis project on Combustion Chamber Design in TwoStroke Engines within our R&D Base Engine Technology & Engine Lab department.
Two stroke engine powered chainsaws have been around for many years and product demands are constantly advancing. Products need to be lighter more efficient and still stay reliable for the professional user to be productive. To navigate in a such mature product area Husqvarna is continuously striving towards small incremental improvements. Engine characteristics such as power emissions fuel efficiency and weight will be key objectives for the future internal combustion engine.
The objective
The purpose of the thesis is to increase knowledge of how the design of the combustion chamber impacts combustion and scavenging.
Proper area of education
Master in Mechanical Engineering Applied physics or a related field
