The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshooting and faultfinding on both mechanical and electrical systems including PLCs
- Ensuring minimal downtime and optimal efficiency across the production lines
- Assisting with equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with production teams to ensure a smooth and efficient manufacturing process
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
- A completed Engineering Apprenticeship ideally to HNC level
- Strong crossskilling experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance
- Experience working with PLC systems
- Previous experience in the FMCG or food industry (preferred) although candidates from other manufacturing sectors will be considered
- A proactive problemsolving mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
