The Role
Norwest Private Hospital is seeking an administration professional to join our ward part time this fast paced and varied environment you will take pride in your work have a friendly and positive work attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
This role would be suitable for someone who enjoys working with others is organised and wants opportunities to grow in their career.
In this role you will be involved in but not restricted to:
Greeting patients and their family/friends doctors other Norwest team and visitors.
Liaising with nursing staff to provide accurate information to relatives regarding timeframesof bed flow and discharges.
Preparation of patient files and coordination with other ward clerks to obtain ward patient files
Medical record filing and distribution of discharge summaries xray and pathology results
Providing clerical support to the NUM and nursing staff
Liaison with allied health wards persons and other hospital departments when required to facilitate patient treatments or transfers
Essential Qualities:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Well organised able to prioritise with proactive planning and work under pressure
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook &Webpas)
Previous front line customer service experience
Experience with medical terminology would be advantageous
