Role Detail

Supporting the broader Technology team in delivering fit for purpose technology solutions aligned with the firms goals you will work as part of the Technology Projects team collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs translate them into clear and actionable requirements capture as is and model to be business processes and workflows identifying opportunities for process improvements and to ensure solutions meet project outcomes and deliver business value.

Reporting to the Head of Technology Projects as a permanent member of the team you will contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis practices refining methodologies and optimising toolsets to support standardisation in BA outputs.

With flexibility to be Melbourne or Sydney based and a balanced approach to WFH you will establish relationships across the team and within the business to aid in the capture and documentation of business processes and requirements. You will be responsible for converting requirements and analysis into reports and other documentation in line with the firms Project Management framework.

Seen as a senior member of the team with natural leadership capabilities key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with partners and staff to capture end to end business requirements for systems and processes in line with the Project Management framework. Requirements will include asis and tobe process diagrams.
  • Identifying issues risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Capturing current state metrics (resourcing time and volume) and highlighting pain points and optimisation opportunities.
  • Assisting with the development of project concept documentation and business case documentation making use of the insight and knowledge gained through your BA engagement.
  • Working alongside those responsible for implementing projects to ensure that the project outcomes are consistent with the business requirements and expectations.
  • Maintaining the documented business requirements for solutions throughout the design and development process handing over to the business owner once the solution is in production.
  • Working with systems to drive efficiency and use process reengineering to improve and upgrade systems.
  • Building out the firms Business Analysis toolkit and provide best practice advice to others completing BA tasks.

About You

You are an instinctive problemsolver a strong communicator and adept at identifying process improvement opportunities. You have a keen eye for detail and the ability to align technical solutions with the needs of the business to drive efficiencies and improved business performance.

As a clear communicator with an ability to translate the nontechnical into technical and vice versa you will liaise with various stakeholders across various levels needing a maturity that comes with confidence in your abilities. You will also bring:

  • Solid BA 7 years) or technical analyst experience in the Legal/Professional Services/Financial Services industries
  • Process mapping tool experience (eg flowcharting software or Unified Modelling Language)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills ie Word Excel Visio and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage and build professional relationships with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to manage priorities and time in accordance with schedules Ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities effectively
  • Excellence without arrogance ethos
