Job Description

Position:Visual Arts TeacherLocation:Stacy Middle SchoolSchedule:School YearSalary:Per Teachers ContractTo Start:August 2025 (plus two mentoring days prior to start date)Qualifications: MA Department of Education Teacher License Certified Grades 112 as Visual Arts Instructor; Highly Qualified Status in Subject AreaRequirements:Expertise of MA Arts Curriculum FrameworksPossess strong studio skills in drawing ceramics and decorative artsPresentation portfolios of individual and student work requiredAbility and willingness to develop art gallery displays throughout the buildingExperience in relating to Middle School studentsAbility to excite ignite and inspire middle school students with highinterest engaging realworld projectsAbility to incorporate a variety of learning activities/experiences to inspire motivate and challenge our middlelevel studentsAn innovative art educator skilled at interdisciplinary planning with content teachers that results in student/peer collaboration and realworld problemsolving in the classroomA positive person willing to become involved in the academic and social aspects of school life to support student success school spirit and school climate and cultureA selfreflective active learner capable of interactive dialogue with all members of the school communityRespect for diversityStrong classroom management skills and ability to use positive support within the classroom setting
