Job Description
For one of longterm multiyear projects we are looking for a Data Modeler out of Dallas TX.
Required Skills:
715 years of experience with information technology programs and services with demonstrated expertise in enterprise data management and related technologies
515 years of data architecture experience
515 years of data modeling experience
Thorough knowledge of ERwin Data Modeler (V8 or higher) or a comparable CASE tool
Knowledge of Agile development methodology and concepts
Experience working as a member of distributed data architecture teams
Understanding of information systems and data lifecycle management best practices and methodologies formal systems engineering life cycle (SELC) and systems development life cycle (SDLC)
Handson SQL experience
Good understanding of the available database management platforms in the industry.
Effective communication skills and relationship management skills
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Desired Skills:
Experience with any ETL tool (Informatica DataStage etc
Experience with any Business Intelligence (BI) tool (i.e. Cognos MicroStrategy Business Objects etc
Experience with data warehousing principles
Experience with any commercially available industry data model (i.e. IBMs Financial Services Data Model)
Good understanding of the concepts in the financial industry especially in trade clearing and settlement
Experience with any data profiling/data discovery tool
Education/Certification:
Bachelors degree in an appropriate area of specialization (Computer Science or Information Systems)
Data management and data architecture related certifications (i.e. TOGAF) is a plus
