Community Mental Health Affiliates Inc. (CMHA) is a private nonprofit treatment provider headquartered in New Britain with seven locations throughout the city and in Waterbury. We partner with clients and the community to promote recovery from mental illness and substance use treating more than 7500 adults and children each year. CMHA is looking to hire a fulltime 40 hours per week Clinician. This position will be in New Britain CT. (MonFri 9:00am 5:00pm).

Compensation:$57k minimum to $76k maximum per year.
Starting salary will be determined based on relevant years of experience.
Clinician I is eligible for a 5000k signon will be paid in 2 installments after 6 months of employment and 1 year of employment completion.
Position Summary:Serve as a key member of the MultiDimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) treatment team which will provide treatment for youth/young adults and parents with substance abuse and cooccurring disorders. Services include substance abuse/mental health screening brief counseling MultiDisciplinary Family Therapy (MDFT) Medication Assisted Treatment case management and recovery support services substance abuse/tobacco cessation and prevention groups. Provide in home or office based MDFT in coordination with other agency and community services and documentation of services required by program policies and funding sources.
Responsibilities:
  • Develops and maintains recoveryoriented therapeutic relationships with individuals through ongoing assessment individual and group therapy both onsite and in the community.
  • Maintains all training and certifications as required by program model.
  • Collaborates with client team and natural supports to develop clientcentered treatment plans.
  • Manages emergency and crisis situations both onsite and in the community.
  • Acts in accordance with mandated reporting laws.
  • Completes assessment tools integrates pertinent information to establish diagnoses and analyzes data to create clinical formulation within designated timeframe.
  • Completes documentation within designated timeframes as established by CMHA and external regulatory agencies.
  • Acts in accordance with program and agency regulatory bodies including but not limited to: state federal Joint Commission DCF and DMHAS.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in behavioral health (psychology social work counseling marriage and family therapy or alcohol and drug counseling).
  • Clinician I must be license eligible.
  • Clinician II must have a CT license as an LCSW LMFT LPC Ph.D.
  • Valid DMV License.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.
  • Experience in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
