As a Test Engineer you will support our Manufacturing teams in a production environment to deliver premier space flight projects. You will get to create and manage test flow for flightcritical hardware production. You will have prior experience in a complex manufacturing environment. Busek researches develops and produces technologies for challenging space missions for small spacecraft in lowearth orbit large geostationary satellites and CubeSats & probes going to the moon and beyond. Our talented staff have collective expertise spanning inspace propulsion spaceborne sensors materials science manufacturing and highfidelity electronic design. Buseks accomplishments include: the first US Hall Effect Thruster in space the first MicroPPT Thrusters and the first flight Electrospray Thrusters. Our present efforts span highvolume and lowvolume production of highreliability inspace propulsion components and systems as well as development of novel processes and technologies. Day to day activities:
Operate and manage testing for vacuum and fluidic systems
Understand and troubleshoot pressure and vacuum systems
Collaborate with other engineers researchers and manufacturers
Produce and maintain essential documentation including test plans and procedures
Suggest and implement testing flow improvements
Desired skills:
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
Handson experience in propulsionlaboratory
Experience with LabView
Experience with MatLab/Python
Working knowledge of vacuum systems
Experience with pressurized gas flow control devices
