Customer Strategy and Engagement Marketing Senior Manager

What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. BLINCYTO is the first and only BiTE immunotherapy indicated for the treatment of Bcell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Bcell ALL). BLINCYTO has redefined the standardofcare in the frontline consolidation phase setting of BALL treatment. BLINCYTO recently received label expansion in June 2024 based on groundbreaking improvement in overall survival. This postlaunch phase is a critical time in its lifecycle as it represents a significant growth opportunity for Blincyto to reach and serve more patients in this rare but often fatal disease. As the marketleading immunotherapy for the treatment of BALL and the anchor for our growing bispecific Tcell engager portfolio (BLINCYTO IMDELLTRA xaluritamig) BLINCYTO represents a priority brand for Amgen and the US oncology business.

As an integral member of the BLINCYTO Brand team the Marketing Senior Manager Customer Strategy and Engagement Lead will report into the Commercial Marketing Director working in close partnership with the Account Marketing Director. To drive depth and breadth of BLINCYTO adoption in the frontline consolidation setting this will be a hybrid role across account marketing and HCP marketing with the goal to drive national scale and impact with a focus on:

  • Top 50 / Next 50 national accounts
  • Top 25 pediatric accounts
  • Key segments including community and home health care
  • Prioritized geographies

The Marketing Senior Manager will be responsible for leading account and HCP marketing initiatives to reinforce clinical conviction and drive consistent adoption across appropriate patient types with thought leaders community HCPs and APPs. This role will also include leading initiatives to expand breadth of use within targeted community accounts as we aim to change the future of Bcell ALL treatment. As the customer strategy and engagement lead this role will include driving effective collaborator leadership and communication including developing and managing both national and regional opinion leaders evolving the opinion leader engagement strategy and driving and pullthrough to the community setting.

  • Under the leadership of the Brand Marketing Director Account Marketing Director and Sales Leadership evolve a customer engagement plan to drive brand growth in key accounts segments and geographies
  • Together with crossfunctional partners identify and track key insights in key accounts segments and geographies to inform brand performance growth potential and customer needs
  • Create and lead of innovative custom tactics for prioritized accounts and geographies to deliver against key customer insights.
  • In support of the growth objectives and in line with the customer engagement plan develop and implement external engagement and peertopeer initiatives (live and digital) to address varying depth of knowledge in BALL particularly in the community setting; diverse groups of customers including HCPs and APPs; varying or limited experience with BLINCYTO or other bispecific Tcell engagers and both clinical and transition of care considerations
  • Evolve opinion leader strategy by partnering closely with crossfunctional partners to both identify emerging key opinion leaders (KOLs) and continue to build on strong relationships with current opinion leaders and be their trusted commercial point of contact.
  • In partnership with the cross functional team develop continually refine and implement the Blincyto speaker program strategy and tactics to effectively and meaningfully educate and engage with our customers through live and digital formats specifically Lead the development of clinical and operational speaker program content including patient cases for adult and pediatric HemOnc and APPs in collaboration with agency partners; Lead and manage the speaker bureau and speaker relationships including identifying new speakers supporting speaker training compliance and product theater speaker management; Work with manager and brand and sales leadership to define key performance indicators and partner closely with sales leadership in of these programs to deliver against brand priorities; and Find opportunities to engage HCPs and deliver this content in a digital format including helping assess the optimal marketing mix for live vs. digital
  • In partnership with the cross functional team develop continually refine and implement the Blincyto congress strategy to effectively and meaningfully educate and engage with our customers specifically Develop and refine guiding principles to help prioritize presence at key national and regional congresses that align with brand strategy; Create a systematic framework to gather HCP insights post congress and; Partner closely with the Hematology and Oncology business unit counterparts to coordinate and ensure a one Amgen presence at congresses
  • Lead the planning development and of generating HCP insights including identifying shifts in the market landscape and impact in support of the brand strategy messaging evolution and tactics as part of the dynamic brand planning process
  • Partner closely with Legal and Regulatory teams to deliver materials in accordance with Amgen standards and principles. Partner will multiple functions teams and vendors (e.g. commercial counterparts Legal Regulatory Medical Sales cDNA Marketing Ops etc. on all initiatives to improve output for customers
  • Identify and track robust Key Performance Indicators and lead/lag indicators to measure both strategic and tactical and demonstrate continuous improvement
  • Establish relationships with all agency partners and internal downstream operational partners effectively manage agency; hold partners accountable for high quality work budget and timelines specifically Lead label updates and promotional resource management for the brand team; Oversee project budgets and consistently deliver on budget by providing accurate estimates/accruals and manage budget variances; Develop and implement US advisory board by partnering closely with MAC compliance and agency partners to inform key business questions and future promotional strategy and tactics; Support any additional workstreams as it relates to evolving brand needs and changing market dynamics; Live and role model the Amgen Values and contribute to a welcoming engaging and fun environment of industryleading performance within the Brand Team and crossfunctional partners

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Masters degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelors Degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associates Degree and 8 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with external customers as well as internal crossfunctional partners
  • Sales experience and/or experience effectively partnering with sales teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including listening and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively produce business results strong project management skills and ensure flawless
  • Ability to drive influence across crossfunctional team members to set direction and align work efforts
  • Marketing competence with a solid grasp of marketing strategy market research segmentation brand positioning and tactical plan development
  • Exhibiting passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences with HCPs by understanding their needs and desires
  • Experience developing and implementing HCP facing marketing tactics
  • Demonstrated strength in analytics to translate data into insights and indicated actions
  • Creative and innovative while also possessing analytical problemsolving skills

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
