About the Role
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining strong client relationships through outbound sales efforts with a focus on growing accounts and identifying new business opportunities. This role includes occasional inperson meetings onsite visits and attendance at trade shows to support relationshipbuilding and promote products within the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through communication and relationshipbuilding
- Conduct outbound sales efforts to generate quotes and close orders
- Travel occasionally for inperson client meetings site visits or overnight trips as required
- Participate in trade shows and industry events to promote products and gather market insights
- Support pricing of custom or specialty products in collaboration with management
- Document all sales activities and maintain detailed records of customer interactions
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and lead generation
- Handle returns credits and order modifications to resolve customer issues promptly
Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelors degree
- Minimum of two years of sales experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and Publisher
- Excellent multitasking organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in distributor technical or constructionrelated sales
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes or industrial products
- Understanding of budgeting forecasting and contract negotiation
- Experience using ERP systems for order and customer management
