Immediate Resident Services Director Opportunity:
Lantern Crest Senior Living a luxury retirement community in East County San Diego seeks a dynamic energetic and selfstarting LVN to join our team as our Resident Services Director. Position Summary:

The Director of Resident Services is responsible for planning developing implementing and evaluating resident care services within Assisted Living and Horizons. This role ensures compliance with policies regulations and best practices while maintaining a warm and engaging environment for residents families and staff members.

Description of the role:

The Resident Services Director at Lantern Crest Senior Living in Santee California will play a crucial role in overseeing the overall wellbeing and satisfaction of our senior residents.

Responsibilities:

Resident Care & Compliance:

  • Develop and maintain objectives and standards for the Care Department.
  • Ensure compliance with resident rights privacy and equitable treatment.
  • Oversee medication management including hiring training and scheduling Medication Technicians.
  • Conduct initial resident assessments and develop individualized service plans.
  • Review and update resident care plans quarterly with a change of condition or as required.
  • Ensure timely submission of Unusual Occurrences/Incident Reports per DSS Licensing requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate stock of medications medical supplies and equipment.

Staff Management & Training:

  • Hire train supervise and evaluate care staff in conjunction with the Executive Director.
  • Conduct ongoing staff training and enforce policies regarding resident care safety and compliance.
  • Lead and participate in daily StandUp meetings to address key issues.
  • Provide counseling disciplinary action and termination of staff as needed.

Operations & Budgeting:

  • Assist with department budget preparation and monitor expenses.
  • Review policies and procedures periodically and implement necessary updates.
  • Manage and oversee investigations related to resident care concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with fire and disaster safety programs.
  • Maintain relationships with local hospitals healthcare providers and community partners.

Resident & Family Engagement:

  • Act as a liaison between residents families and the care team to ensure quality service and address concerns.
  • Participate in resident service plan conferences including a 30day postadmission review and quarterly updates.
  • Respond to grievances and report concerns to the Executive Director as needed.
  • Support community activities and initiatives to foster a homelike atmosphere.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Participate in quality assurance studies and implement improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to facility operations.
  • Be oncall and available for emergencies covering other management roles as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Must have a twoyear degree in a related field and experience in health care and/or assisted living.
  • Must be a Licensed Nurse (LPN/LVN)
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to read write communicate and follow written and oral instructions in the English language.

Work Experience:

  • Must have worked with people in a supervisory position in a similar campus setting for a minimum of three years.

Supervision:

  • Needs to be selfdirected and possess the ability to make decisions. Is accountable for department performance. Works closely with the Executive Director and other department heads.
