Job Description
Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):
As a Board of Leader you will assist to bring awareness to current TRIO students about educational opportunities resources on campus and workshops available to them. In doing this we must effectively communicate with a variety of St. Olaf departments and organization including but not limited to faculty and staff at the college. In a broader context our hopes are to reach out to the Northfield Community other Minnesota TRIO programs and nonTRIO students at St. Olaf. By advocating to legislators we hope to sustain TRIOs establishment nationally. In this position the student employee will have a key role in planning and administering SSS events and activities throughout the academic year along with carrying out responsibilities as assigned for their specific committee.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve on one of the four committees within the Board of Leaders and following through with the specific duties of this committee. (see attached document with further details of each committee)
- Attend all scheduled Board of Leader meetings on Mondays from 3:15 pm to 4:15 pm
- Attend all SSS Events/Activities as set by the Board of Leader Coordinators
- Assist with creating and planning events; setup and cleanup; collaborating with departments and orgs on campus participating in a fall and spring volunteer activity.
- Work 23 hours in the office (late afternoon/night shifts)
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)
- Must be an active and enrolled SSS student participant
- Must maintain a 2.5 or higher GPA
- Must be in good academic standing all year; BOL must maintain a good academic standing all year. BOL who fall short of good academic standing in the fall semester must attain a 2.01 GPA or higher in their interim course to be eligible to continue as a BOL.
- If you are 18 years old and have a drivers license you must complete the St. Olaf College required SafeColleges Online Course to be a certified driver.
