HIV treatment has come a long way since those early days of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and so has the Foundation. We are now a highly professional notforprofit organisation able to offer a range of tailored services supports and programs to diverse people living with HIV (PLHIV) and/or a disability or who need aged care services.
As an organisation that has always focused on and been supported by the LGBTIQA community and following on from opportunities identified in the Disability and Aged Care Royal Commissions we have now identified a need to broaden the scope of supports offered by the organisation to include a broader demographic which includes everyone from the first generation to age with HIV newly emerging communities of PLHIV the broader LGBTIQA community and people from all walks of life looking for progressive disability and agedcare supports.

About us
Bobby Goldsmith Foundation (BGF) is Australias oldest communitybased HIV organisation providing client services and health promotion programs in NSW and SA. We provide direct practical assistance emotional support financial counselling and housing advocacy to PLHIV. We specialise in supporting PLHIV and the broader LGBTQIA community however as an NDIS registered organisation BGF is proud to offer disability supports to people from all backgrounds and walks of life regardless of HIV status sexual orientation and gender identity.

About you and the role
Reporting to the Client Services Director this role is all about making a difference and helping people live independently through support in daily activities. This role has four main areas of responsibilities:
Program management;
Employee management;
Operational management; and
Stakeholder relationship management
More specifically to be successful in this role you will:
Lead the Community Support Program (CSP) to provide a range of practical supports for everyone from the first generation to age with HIV newly emerging communities of people living with HIV the broader LGBTQIA community and people from all walk of life looking for a progressive disability and agedcare supports
Manage and mentor the CSP team
Work in collaboration with the Psychosocial Support Service (PSS) Manager to deliver a personcentered wrap around service
Collaborate with HIV services that refer to the program
Strategise with Client Services Director to look for growth opportunities to expand and grow the business
In addition we are looking for someone who will meet the following requirements:
Registered nurse
Currently hold and maintain unrestricted registration with AHPRA and do not have any matters pending which may result in restrictions
Relevant work experience in a healthrelated discipline (e.g. Community Services Disability Aged Care Social Work)
Comprehensive knowledge of NDIS practice standards Aged Care quality standards Quality and Safeguarding standards
A sound working knowledge of existing services in the fields of HIV disability mental health and ageing
Comprehensive knowledge and working experience in SCHADS Award
First Aid and CPR certificates
Valid unrestricted NSW drivers licence required
Sound evidenced experience in leadership mentoring and managing a large team and promoting work performance
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with diverse communities
Strong analytical thinking business analysis and IT skills
Advanced skills in negotiating beneficial outcomes
Strong interpersonal relationship skills
Highlevel expertise in computer programs e.g. Microsoft Office 365 applications Client Database management (ideally Lumary) and Rostering System Software
Attention to detail
It is also highly desirable if you have:
Experience working within the NFP sector
Experience working with people with vulnerable people requiring home services and community support services
Sound experience in rostering
Current Mental Health First Aid certificate
