JOB SUMMARY:

Spalding University is seeking the next leader of its womens basketball program. The Head Womens Basketball Coach is a fulltime position that will report directly to the Director of Athletics and will coach and recruit for the program directly in line with all University Conference and NCAA guidelines. Spalding University is located downtown Louisville Kentucky and we participate in the Saint Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) as a NCAA Division III member.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead mentor and develop studentathletes.
• Recruit and maintain a championship caliber womens basketball team.
• Support academic success and the holistic growth personal growth of studentathletes.
• Graduate successful studentathletes.
• Develop practice plans evaluate film and implement competitive strategies.
• Work closely with admissions and other campus offices to recruit studentathletes
• Manage recruiting database in Front Rush
• Ability to maintain effective work relations with administration faculty staff and students.
• Plan season schedule and coordinate team travel.
• Assist in coordinating our StudentAthlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
• Collaborate with athletics communication to maintain Spalding Womens Basketball social media accounts.
• Organize team fundraising and community service opportunities.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of and adhere to NCAA Division III compliance rules to maintain the integrity of the program and athletic department.
• Represent Spalding University and our athletic department in an exemplary fashion.
• Effectively manage a parttime assistant coach and graduate assistant

SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree is required Masters preferred.
• Collegiate coaching and playing experience preferred.

INTERRELATIONS:

• Regular or daily contact with administration admissions faculty staff and students.
• Regular contact with the general public.
• Must have an appreciation and respect for diverse populations.
