What will you do
- Prep wash and return GMP glassware following site specific procedures
- Use inventory/order management electronic systems to perform the following activities: onsite program replenishments and disbursements receiving putaway stock rotation cycle counts order entry and expediting customer service call resolution product returns and backorder processing.
- Perform laboratory services such as order delivery glassware processing and chemical inventory receipt/reconciliation
- Analyze maintain and reconcile various reports to ensure contractual requirements are met.
- Work within computer systems to access and follow standard operating procedures.
- Proactively communicate any customer concerns and/or potential problems to the supervisor.
- Address customer concerns within established resolution timeframes reliably.
- Embrace Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
Experience
- 2 years of related experience within a laboratory setting is preferred.
- Experience working in customer service is also a plus.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Able to read write and speak English fluently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a desire to deliver excellent customer service. This includes maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions and upholding Thermo Fisher Scientifics values including confidentiality.
- Possesses a strong desire to serve the customer and the interpersonal skills to collaborate with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
- Independently operates handheld scanners to enter data in various systems as needed; as well as analytical skills to reconcile reports.
- Demonstrates computer proficiency and possesses intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software. Uses organizational skills to multitask and meet due dates as needed.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Works primarily at customer sites which may require independent work. Work areas may include spaces where chemicalbased allergens are in use (such as penicillin tetracycline etc).
- Depending on the area of the building personal protective equipment may be required including lab coats coveralls hoods facemasks hairnets safety gloves steeltoe shoes bump hats and/or safety glasses.
- Must consistently lift push and pull 3040 pounds; occasional lifting of 50 pounds may be necessary using equipment like pushcarts pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Regularly required to stand or walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $19.64$29.40.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
