As Chief of Staff you will report directly to the CTO and collaborate closely with the Leadership Team to spearhead strategic initiatives and oversee key projects that influence the companys trajectory. This role provides the opportunity to make a significant impact on Datavants longterm growth by driving the of highpriority initiatives that accelerate our mission to deliver new treatments to patients more rapidly and efficiently.
In this position you will act as a trusted advisor to the CTO amplifying their effectiveness by managing engineering priorities shaping strategic direction and fostering crossfunctional alignment. You will take ownership of special projects from ideation to implementation ensuring seamless coordination across teams while cultivating strong relationships with external stakeholders including investors advisors and industry executives.
In this role you will:
- Lead and execute major initiatives that elevate the technology organization working across teams to solve enterprisewide challenges.
- Own key operational functions including reporting budget management quarterly business reviews and staff meetings to ensure seamless and alignment.
- Oversee and facilitate CTOled meetings ensuring agendas are impactful discussions are valuable and action items drive measurable outcomes.
- Manage the Office of the CTO by establishing a structured cadence for staff engineers to meet regularly fostering collaboration knowledge sharing and problemsolving on critical technical and strategic risks.
- Partner with the Executive Assistant to plan and execute engaging and effective offsites ensuring alignment on priorities strategic direction and team cohesion.
- Attend and contribute to executive staff meetings synthesizing key takeaways and ensuring followthrough on critical decisions.
- Act as an extension of the CTO working closely with embedded engineering leaders to address crossfunctional and enterprisewide challenges.
- Amplify the impact of staff engineers ensuring they are engaged in valuable initiatives providing visibility into their work and enabling them to drive meaningful change.
- Identify and escalate key risks ensuring leadership is aware of and proactively addressing technical operational and strategic challenges.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Experience in a Chief of Staff role Engineering Operations or similar leadership role preferably within a technologydriven organization.
- A handson approachsomeone who can seamlessly switch between highlevel strategy and detailed .
- A track record of leading and delivering complex crossfunctional initiatives that drive business impact.
- Exceptional organizational and operational skills with experience managing budgets reporting and executivelevel meetings.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across teams facilitate discussions and drive alignment.
- Experience working with senior engineering leaders staff engineers and executive teams to solve big problems and elevate technical talent.
- A proactive mindset with a bias for actionyou thrive in fastpaced environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Exceptional project management skills: being organized and disciplined showing attention to detail and following up doggedly to ensure the right results
- Business savvy including an understanding of the marketplace competitors and technology and what is required for sustained operating results.
- The ability to see what pressures the CTO faces in pushing the company to change and to find ways to lessen them.
- The ability to identify and prioritize key relationships that are critical to the success of the CTOs agenda and support their strengthening
- Strong communication skills and effective stakeholder management are essential as the CoS plays a pivotal role in shaping the leaders message and ensuring it resonates with the right audiences

The range posted is for a given job title which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level responsibilities skills and experience for a specific job.
The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$260000 $340000 USD
