Location The Ormsby is a modern 136 Bed Residential Aged Care Home located in the beautiful location of Buderim.
About the Role:
As a Personal Care Worker you will provide assistance to our residents ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing independence interests and choices. These include:
- Assistance with residence mobility needs including manual handling.
- Assistance at mealtimes as required by the resident such as food and drink preparation and feeding if required.
- Encouraging to engage in various social activities
- Assistance with their personal care needs maintaining hygiene toileting and personal care such as dressing grooming and oral care.
To be successful in this role we require you to have the following skills experience & attributes
- Experience in aged care role highly regarded.
- Understanding of personcentred care
- Strong clear verbal and written English skills
- Collaborative approach to teamwork
- Willingness to take direction and follow instructions / compliance
- A Confident friendly and professional approach to team and residents
Mandatory for compliance
Certificate III in Individual Support Disability Aged Care or Home and Community/ Health Services with specific units of competencies completed.
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport Birth Certificate etc)
- Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
- Current Flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
- Evidence of Covid19 vaccinations in line with current requirements
