The Job
- Qualify RFP opportunities in concert with representatives of the Leadership Team by facilitating bid/nobid calls
- Facilitate kickoff calls and progress update calls
- Establish proposal schedule and work plan separate proposal into component parts and assign to direct and virtual team members for completion
- Reassemble completed component parts into a complete response document
- Perform writing and editing duties to ensure that the proposal response is compliant clear coherent consistent flows logically has marketing impact and is errorfree
- Write and/or edit cover letters executive summaries and debrief reports
- Enforce approved branding and style guidelines
- Maintain wiki and RFx Resource Centre
- Provide proposal assistance guidance and advice to account teams managing their own RFP responses
- Lead training activities related to proposal process and best practices
- Manage and maintain RFPrelated metrics dashboard and reports in Salesforce. This includes tracking proposals throughout the entire proposal lifecycle and maintaining metrics and reporting to management on proposal generation activities and status
- Provide support to Service Operations functions as required
What skills you bring:
- Degree in related field (English/Rhetoric/Technical Writing/Engineering)
- 710 years of bid management experience preferably in a high tech telecommunications or related field
- Extreme proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to work both independently (selfstarter) and as part of a team
- Adhere to corporate standards & inhouse technical writing standards
- Strong sense of ownership and project management skills
- Able to resolve conflicts with peers
- Customer service oriented
- Strong time management skills
- A fast learner with a technical inclination is a must
- Process and detail oriented
- Input on prioritization of deliverables
- Understanding of latest ISO standards
- Able to advise best practices with tact
- Provide writing editing and related guidance and advice to other proposal writers and contributors
- Occasionally extended hours split shifts may be required
- Fastpaced office environment
- Travel required on an asneeded basis
