Job Duties
Support Marketing and Public Relations staff and collaborate with interdepartmental teams and interns to create research photograph archive and develop written content about Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown including Americas 250th commemoration to support external and internal communications in digital print and social media platforms.
Principal Job Functions:
Assist with researching and writing media content across multiple platforms and mediums.
Produce and edit digital photography.
Assist with archival efforts to digitize print and 35mm slide photography.
Assist with media coverage and promotion of special events and museum programming.
Communicate and collaborate with small and large teams in a wide range of marketing roles and positions.
Effectively use Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Photoshop or other photoediting software to complete tasks and assignments.
Minimum Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Photoshop.
Ability to work in a team or individual setting.
Ability to take direction meet deadlines and make sound judgement.
Ability to work in photo editing and experience with digital photography.
Ability to work a flexible schedule occasionally to support weekend or after hour events.
Flexibility to work at Jamestown Settlement American Revolution Museum at Yorktown or the Philip G. Emerson Central Support Complex.
Additional Considerations
Must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed at least 1 year in a higher education or a skilled trade or a tech program.
