Job Description

Position is located in New York NY within the ILR School Extension Office located at 570 Lexington Ave New York NY 10022.

The School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University has an immediate opening for a twoyear term Program Coordinator Coord Program C06 in the NYC Extension/Outreach Division.

Our Team: ILRs Labor and Employment Law Program (LEL) merges law and social science research to provide attorneys legislators social scientists and policymakers with multifaceted perspectives through forums and conferences. Current and emerging legal issues affecting the workplace are analyzed with the goal of influencing research legislation policy and litigation. LELs emphasis is on emerging issues in law social equity employment and workplace drug testing under new state laws.

What we are seeking:

We are seeking people who appreciate and will take ownership in the following and not limited to:

  • managing scheduling and administrative processes for statewide LEL events and programs

  • drafting and editing variety of documents and reports

  • monitoring expenses auditing accounts and assisting with development of budget reports

  • contributing to the development maintenance and enhancement of LEL website and supporting marketing and communications needs in collaboration with ILR Marketing and Communications

  • managing student intern hiring and supervision

The candidate needs to have established the following:

  • work successfully as part of a team

  • communicate professionally

  • manage multiple tasks

  • prioritize work on simultaneous projects

  • work successfully under pressure with minimal supervision at a variety of tasks within a fastpaced teamoriented diverse office setting

This is a term fulltime bargaining unit position that falls under the NYC ILR Extension exempt CWA contract. Initial appointment through June 30 2027 position may be reappointed with approval based on available funding and work.

The position is based in the Cornell University New York City ILR Extension office located at 570 Lexington Ave New York NY 10022.

Salary per CWA exempt bargaining unit contract: $67378 with education experience and relevant skills the hiring salary may be up to $71000.
