About The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in a BAU (Business as Usual) capacity supporting a large enterprise customer in Perth CBD. This role will see you managing and maintaining Oracle database environments ensuring high availability security and performance across critical business applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Oracle Database platforms ensuring optimal performance availability and security.
- Provide operational support for Oracle Financials EBusiness Suite and Middleware environments.
- Perform database tuning patching upgrades and troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies.
- Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and support of Oraclebased applications.
- Monitor database performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Assist in the automation of database administration tasks to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and industry best practices.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to stakeholders as required.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong experience as an Oracle DBA in an enterprise environment.
- Expertise in Oracle Database platforms Oracle Financials EBusiness Suite and Middleware.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning patching and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards for database management.
- Ability to work independently in a BAU support environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
