Special Education Teacher

Impact Academy of Arts and Technology High School seeks a Learning Specialist for theSchool Year for our Hayward collegeprep high school to lead students in an academic vision of success.

In addition to the base salary this opportunity includes: $5000 Special Education supplement and/or $3500 MA supplement for candidates with a MA degree

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Principal the Learning Specialist will lead students in an academic vision of success that focuses on each students IEP goals Envisions graduate profile and college/career readiness.

• Lead case management of students with IEPs.
• Train and provide direction and guidance to assigned Instructional Assistants.
• Coordinate service providers and create schedules of service minutes that meet each students IEP requirements.
• Collaborate with School Psychologist and Associate Director Special Education to conduct assessments prepare IEP reports and ensure procedural rights.
• Create and modify lesson unit and instruction plans.
• Implement accommodations and modifications to ensure students learning success in general education classrooms.
• Regularly analyze student data and devise strategies to improve instruction
• Build strong relationships with families
• Lead IEP teams and facilitate IEP meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree.
• Valid California Teaching Credential or out of state equivalent with ability to transfer required.
• Demonstrated success working with parents and families especially Black African American Latine/a/o/x and immigrant families.
• Once hired continuous current California residency.
• Receptiveness to feedback and desire to continuously improve to meet outcomes.

LOCATION
This position is onsite at our school campus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Annual starting salary range of $63672 $102546 dependent upon years of aligned experience and credentials.

• Additional Supplements for:
  • Special Education: $5000
  • Second Credential: $500
  • Masters Degree: $3500
  • Doctorate: $2000
  • Board Certification: $5000
  • Lead Learning Specialist (SPED): $10000
• Additional Leadership Stipends for:
  • Instructional Lead Team: $5000
  • Grade Level Lead Team: $5000
  • Summer Professional Development: $250/day
