Salary: $70000 $75000

This position embedded in a police agency and coresponds with law enforcement to 911 and calls for services to people in the community who are experiencing a crisis. The CRC must be available to assist officers with calls for individuals exhibiting signs of mental distress to provide assessments in the community or at the police station and deliver rapid access to community services

Position requires the individual to exhibit flexibility and independence of work performance and demonstrate good relational skills and judgment; organizational skills and patience in the face of a changing work environment and varied work responsibilities; and selfawareness and ability to process issues that arise from the stressful nature of the work.

• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Possess excellent assessment and interviewing skills.
• Adhere to professional ethics.
• Have working knowledge of current version of the American Psychiatric Associations Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
• Demonstrate ability to work as a team with other program staff (as well as independently) in order to aid in the delivery of services.
• Demonstrate flexibility creativity and sensitivity in working with individuals and families with a broad range of diagnoses and emotional issues.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries with individuals families and collaterals.
• Develop working relationships with community service providers.
• Work flexible hours which may include evenings and weekends as needed.
• Be aware of diverse cultures and belief systems; willing to be flexible and examine ones own cultural biases; and ensure that work with youth/family members and community representatives is done within a cultural context.
• Actively participate in the ridealong function of the CoResponse model.
• Provide behavioral health assessments to individuals and families in crisis who encounter the police.
• Serve as a primary liaison to law enforcement on assigned shift.
• Accompany firstresponding officers to call out situations.Provide initial crisis intervention services to individuals in need along with crisis care management and shortterm crisis counseling as followup form initial interventions when appropriate.
• Represent the program in a prepared and professional manner at community events task forces and public speaking engagements.
• Maintain linkages with law enforcement and community agencies by providing documented case consultation program development and problem resolution.
• Provide information and referral services to individuals and families.
• Maintain necessary documentation data entry and records in accordance with program requirements.
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems; provide other clinicians with managed care information and resources pertinent to the crises being managed
• Participate in cross training of law enforcement and Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) staff.
• Prepare for and facilitate monthly Operations meeting with Police Departments.
• Attend and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
• Perform all duties in accordance with the agencys policies and procedures.
• Strictly follow all agency policies procedures and adhere to performance standards.
• Complete incident reporting and any documentation as required by policy.
• Collaborate with other Jail Diversion program staff as well as clinicians and recovery coaches.
• Perform all other functions designated by supervisor Site Manager Program Director or Division Director.

• Masters degree in Social Work Counseling Education Counseling Psychology Rehabilitation Counseling or similar degree.
• Minimum of two years of crisis experience with inpatient outpatient and residential population required.
• Candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
• Current drivers license and reliable transportation to and from many meetings sites and appointments.
• Must be able to travel within a community.
• Must have access to personal cell phone.
• Must become First Aid/ CPR certified if not currently certified.
