Job Description

The Accounting Representative plays a key role in supporting the companys finance operations by managing accounts receivable accounts payable and other financial transactions with precision and efficiency. This position requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy and compliance. Reporting to the Controller the Accounting Representative collaborates with crossfunctional teams to streamline processes and ensure seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Assist in monthend and yearend financial closings including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Monitor track and resolve discrepancies in financial records invoices and statements.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial records and reports to support the accounting department.
  • Support the Controller in budgeting forecasting and other financial analyses.
  • Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to clarify payment details and resolve account issues.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
  • Follow all environmental health and safety policies rules and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Preferred Competencies

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. JD Edwards) and Excel and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of industryspecific accounting practices and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors
  • Experience: At least 2 years of accounting experience.
