Job Description
India Cancer is a notforprofit organization dedicated to spreading knowledge and providing support for cancer patients and their care givers. We are looking for a passionate experienced Operations Manager to help us streamline our operational processes and oversee a range of programs designed to engage educate and support all our initiatives in the coming years.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating key programs including outreach social media content creation events and financial management. This role requires a proactive individual with a background in nonprofit operations and a strong understanding of compliance regulations in India for NGOs. The Operations Manager will ensure the efficient operation of these programs work closely with other team members and maintain a focus on achieving the organizations mission.
Please note:
1. The vetting process for this role comprises 23 rounds of interviews and may be followed by a brief assignment.
2. Festivals From India is helping the Indian Cancer Foundation hire for this role.
3. This is an onsite fulltime position based in Mumbai.
4. Salary band for this role is available upon request.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in business administration nonprofit management communications or a related field.
- 4 5 years of experience in operations program management or similar roles particularly within the nonprofit sector.
- Familiarity with NGOspecific compliance requirements in India including FCRA and other relevant regulations.
- Experience with outreach and partnership development with other nonprofit organizations.
- Proven experience managing social media accounts and content creation with a solid understanding of digital marketing strategies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across different stakeholders.
- Experience with event planning and management (both online and inperson).
- Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Office Google Workspace) and familiarity with social media management tools (e.g. Hootsuite Buffer).
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in or with NGOs in India with a strong understanding of the challenges and needs of nonprofit organizations.
- Knowledge of financial management and reporting for nonprofits including invoice processing budgeting and tracking.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Asana Trello) and content management systems (e.g. WordPress Google Drive).
- Experience with video production or overseeing multimedia content creation.
