Correctional Deputy Trainee

- Education: Graduation from high school possession of a Certificate of Proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education or attainment of a satisfactory score on a G.E.D. examination.
License:Possession of a valid California Drivers License.Legality for Employment:Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law.
ANDCORRECTIONAL DEPUTY TRAINEE
Age: Must be at least 18 years old by date of hire.
OR
DEPUTY SHERIFF TRAINEE
Age: Must be at least 20 years and 9 months old at the start of the academy.

- Polygraph Examination

- Medical Exam including a preemployment drug & alcohol screening (refusal to submit to testing or positive results for alcohol or unexplained legal prescription is an automatic disqualification).
