Job Description
Operating Theatre Assistant

About the role
We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver exceptional patient care with kindness helpfulness and compassion. A strong focus on customer service will also be required.
Your main duties will include:
- Transporting of patients
- Collecting and delivering of packages/specimens
- Ensuring the safe handling and positioning of patients
- Coordination and moving of specialised equipment
- Collaborating with the nursing team to ensure efficient theatre utilisation
- Cleaning and restocking
About you
- Strong multitasking capabilities
- Commitment to privacy and confidentiality
- Compassion and empathy for a diverse range of patients
- Effective organisational and time management skills with an ability to sense prioritisation
- Embraces change in the work environment including technology
- A willingness to work collaboratively within a small team
- Ability to build develop and maintain professional relationships within a multidisciplinary team
- The ability to work a rotating roster and be on call
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of safe work practices
