What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a Import/Export Coordinator to join our Supply Chain and Logistics team in El Paso TX. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and actiondriven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.
What you will be doing:
- Coordinates freight movement of materials/finished good domestically and internationally.
- Prepares required documentation and ensures compliance of domestic and international regulations and related shipments.
- Process special shipments assuring timely delivery correct documentation and tracking of domestic and international shipments.
- Creates domestic and international invoices for shipments.
- Initiates follow through and collects domestic and international freight claims
- Monitors transportation providers to assure most cost effective and appropriate method of transportation is being used.
- Maintains a high level of customer service satisfaction with internal and external customers.
- Interacts with freight forwarder customs brokers domestic carrier representatives insurance and claims adjusters.
- Generate and interpret traffic/transportation reports as needed.
- Maintain and file applicable NAFTA and traffic documents
- Provide information regarding NAFTA requirements.
- Participate in ISO14001 NYS Kaizen and QCC activities and audits as required.
- Perform 5S functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Able to work any shift
- Must be able to work overtime based on business needs
- Work on special projects or assignments as needed.
What you will bring to the table:
- Associates Degree in Related field; applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Required: 2 years of experience in Traffic field and office/warehouse area
- Some Domestic and international travel is required.
- Bilingual in Both English and Spanish
- Microsoft Suite SAP and BEAMS experience preferred
- Weekends and afterhours sometimes required
- Physical Requirements: Walking Standing and Sitting for long periods of time. Some stoopingbending at the waist. Occasional repetitive motionmovement of wrists hands and fingers
