This position requires excellent communication organizational and problemsolving skills to provide guidance to studentathletes coaches and parents. The Assistant Athletic Trainer must also ensure compliance with school policies WCAC conference regulations and DCSAA guidelines related to athletic health and safety.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the prevention assessment and treatment of sportsrelated injuries.Provide onsite and offsite medical coverage for ACHS practices games and other athletic events.Assist in developing and implementing injury prevention and rehabilitation programs.Maintain accurate medical records and injury reports for studentathletes.Support the Head Athletic Trainer in managing the schools sports medicine program.Educate studentathletes on injury prevention rehabilitation exercises and proper training techniques.Assist in coordinating the concussion management protocol and returntoplay procedures.Ensure compliance with state conference and school policies related to athletic health and safety.Qualifications:Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification (BOC).Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Athletic Trainer in Washington DC.Bachelors degree in Athletic Training Sports Medicine or a related field.CPR AED and First Aid certifications are required.Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for athletic events.Strong oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal problemsolving and conflictresolution abilitiesMust be able to pass a background check fingerprinting requirements CPR certification and Virtus Online training: Virtus TrainingThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and passionate Athletic Trainer looking to develop their skills in a supportive and dynamic high school athletic program.
