Design Lead Interior Designer (Luxury Residential)
About client
My client is a leading luxury property developer in London renowned for creating exceptional residential spaces in the capitals most soughtafter locations. They are passionate about design innovation and craftsmanship and are committed to delivering homes that exceed their residents expectations.
About the Role
They are seeking a talented and experienced Design Lead to join their dynamic team. In this role you will play a pivotal role in shaping the interior aesthetic of their luxury residential developments from concept creation to final . You will lead a team of interior designers overseeing all aspects of the design process and ensuring the delivery of highend innovative and commercially successful interiors.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of creative and unique interior design concepts for luxury residential projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of interior designers fostering a collaborative and inspiring work environment.
- Translate client briefs and architectural plans into detailed and cohesive design schemes.
- Conduct thorough research into current design trends materials and finishes within the luxury residential sector.
- Source and specify highend furniture fixtures and equipment (FF&E) that meet project budgets and client expectations.
- Develop and present compelling design proposals to clients and stakeholders ensuring clear communication and buyin.
- Oversee the production of detailed design documentation including drawings specifications and mood boards.
- Liaise with architects engineers and contractors to ensure seamless integration of design intent throughout the construction process.
- Manage project budgets for FF&E and interior finishes ensuring adherence to deadlines and cost parameters.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress address any issues and ensure quality control.
Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 10 years experience in luxury residential interior design.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering successful highend residential projects.
- Indepth knowledge of luxury materials finishes and furniture brands.
- Excellent design flair with a strong understanding of current design trends.
- Exceptional communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- A strong understanding of project budgeting and cost control.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Revit and 3D rendering programs (e.g. SketchUp Enscape).
