WHAT YOU WILL DO:
We are hiring Journeyman and Apprentice Industrial Plumbers to join our team in the oil & gas sector. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing maintaining and repairing industrial plumbing systems while ensuring compliance with industry and safety regulations.
This is a unionrequired position. Candidates must be members of a recognized union in Calgary or Edmonton. Travel is provided to and from Calgary/Edmonton only
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Installations & Repairs Support licensed plumbers in installing maintaining and repairing piping systems fixtures and water supply lines.
Material Handling & Preparation Gather tools transport materials and prepare work areas for plumbing tasks.
Follow Safety Standards Adhere to workplace safety protocols including PPE use hazard identification and proper tool handling.
Read & Interpret Blueprints Assist in understanding plumbing schematics and layouts to ensure accurate installations.
Perform Basic Plumbing Tasks Cut measure and assemble pipes fittings and fixtures under supervision.
Learn & Develop Skills Gain handson experience attend training and improve plumbing knowledge to progress toward licensure.
Qualifications & Experience:
For Journeyman Plumbers:
For Apprentice Plumbers:
Basic understanding of plumbing tools materials and safety procedures.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of a licensed plumber.
Good physical stamina including the ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation (preferred).
Previous experience in construction plumbing or a related trade is an asset but not required.
Handson experience using hand and power tools is beneficial.
Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical diagrams is a plus.
