Job Description
The Archdiocese of Baltimore is seeking a PreK Lead Teacher. She/he will be accountable for the care and supervision of children. Their primary responsibilities are the safety and wellbeing of children in their care but they also provide instruction and educational support in preparation for Kindergarten. The job opening is at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Parish Preschool in Woodstock Maryland.
Essential Functions:
- Leads the classroom staff to implement a program of instruction that adheres to the schools philosophy goals and objectives
- Takes initiative in the classroom and prepares the learning environment daily including centers and activities
- Maintains a clean and organized classroom daily
- Leads classroom management and orderly transitions
- Uses positive words and actions in all communication and interaction with the students
- Implements daily activities with children
- Prepare crafts and activities
- Prepare a learning environment daily including centers and activities
- Work collaboratively with other teachers staff and administration
- Assist with snack lunch and rest time
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum of a College diploma and 90hour child care certification able to be lead teacher qualified by the MSDE Office of Child Care.
- An appreciation for young students and their families
- Willingness to support the mission of The Catholic Faith and the Archdiocese of Baltimore Catholic Schools
Range: $20.00 Hourly $41600 Annualized)
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location skills education experience for this role and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus which is determined upon company and individual performance.
