Job Description Summary
Under the direction of the Dodge College director of communications the Student Features Writer will develop and write wellcrafted Dodge Collegecentric articles that will appear on the Dodge College blog and in a new quarterly alumni newsletter. The writer will also independently develop and pitch new ideas to the director of communications for consideration. The writer may also be asked to write indepth social media captions and assist in the editing of other captions.
Responsibilities
1. Writing and editing compelling wellcrafted stories the topics of which will include but are not limited to: student and faculty profiles master classes other relevant news/events 2. Identifying and interviewing key sources building relationships within the community and working closely with the director of communications to refine story ideas and articles 3. Participating in editorial meetings and meeting strict publication deadlines
Required Qualifications
1. A strong command of English grammar and punctuation 2. An attention to detail: spelling facts etc. 3. An engaging writing style 4. The ability to meet deadlines
