This position is hybrid in nature where 3 days/week are spent working in our office collaborating with internal teams and 2 days/week can be spent working remotely.

As a Senior Distribution Engineer You can expect to:

• Lead the development of electrical distribution work packages; Perform 3rd party make ready design and analysis; potentially work on capital/ reliability design (i.e. reconductor voltage conversion DG FLISR underground etc. designs)
• Be responsible for QAQC tasks on your assigned team; You will play a role in quality reviews of your teams designs prior to submittals for client projects
• Review engineering design packages with clients; Review and organize existing program work
• Perform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client priorities
• Interact directly with clients on a frequent asneeded basis
• Provide engineering support during construction including postconstruction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
• Coordinate conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements; Assist with work permit development easements and ROW applications
• Be comfortable in both a field and office setting; the role could possibly require some customersite visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages

What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):

• 5 years of relevant experience working electric distribution projects in a consulting environment for electric utilities or working directly at an electric utility
• Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution; Additional relevant experience can be considered in lieu of engineeringspecific bachelors degree
• Experience and demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
• Experience with engineering design quality control
• Familiarity with Pole Loading software (OCalc Pole Foreman etc) and distribution pole analysis
• Ability to utilize a personal vehicleas some customerrelated travel could be anticipated(Jobrelated travel will be reimbursed at IRSapproved rates)
• Willingness to perform both field and office work; Ability to work in outdoor environments on occasion; The role may require customersite visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages
• Candidates should possess valid U.S. drivers license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous QAQC experience
• Experience providing estimated costs development of a BOM calculating the CIAC
• Demonstrated history of Customer Interaction
• Proven experience and proficiency with STORMS software and GIS is preferred
• Prior Leadership experience is preferred
