Job Summary
With limited supervision from and under the general direction of the Director of Imaging Services Imaging Manager and Chairman of the Department of Radiology the Imaging Supervisor is responsible for but not limited to supervising the daily operations and functions of the administrative and clinical services of the Radiology Department and acts as backup to the Department Information Services Liaison.
Supports and is responsible for incorporating into job performance the Frederick Health mission vision core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the Frederick Health Compliance Program including following all regulatory requirements and the Frederick Health Standards of Behavior.
Example of Essential Functions:
- Performs job responsibilities in an ethical compliant manner. Complies with implements and executes policies and procedures of the radiology department and Frederick Health as they apply to the radiology department.
- Operates within established productivity standards
- Provides technical and managerial support and guidance to staff of clinical and nonclinical areas of the Radiology department. Understands all aspects of the administrative and clinical operations and monitors performance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of functions.
- Plans performs and/or leads activities associated with the development and maintenance of quality practices and standards for administrative and clinical operations.
- Analyzes develops coordinates and executes all performance/process improvement and training initiatives for the front desk file room clinical support and clinical staff operations.
- Prepares staffing schedules and ensures adequate coverage based on productivity targets.
- Interviews applicants and makes employment recommendations/decisions. Orients new employees to operations.
- Provides assistance and acts as a resource to the Department System Liaison
- Conducts completes and processes annual employee performance appraisals and probationary period evaluations
- Effectively utilizes staff ensuring appropriate levels of productivity
- Assigns work to department personnel
- Conducts employee counseling and administers disciplinary action as appropriate up to and including recommendation for termination
- Retrieves customer/patient feedback and utilizes for improvements in services
- Monitors the utilization of AIDET with customer satisfaction in mind to ensure consistent application.
- Effectively manages and resolves customer/patient situations. Responds professionally promptly and effectively to needs and/or complaints.
- Oversee quality control and compliance with regulatory agencies
- Evaluates equipment and space needs
- Assist department supervisors to develop objectives policies and procedures
- Serves on and actively participates in project teams task forces and committees as needed
- Assists with staff development and education
- Assists the director and/or manager in preparing operating budgets and effectively analyzes performance against those budgets; promotes and demonstrates the efficient use of supplies and equipment throughout the department.

Minimum Education Training and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent with the knowledge skills and abilities to perform required duties.
- AA Degree preferred.
- Five 5 years experience and strong knowledge of imaging services operations with demonstrated administrative and leadership skills.
- Currently licensed in the State of Maryland as certified as an ARRT(R) or (N) or NMTCB.
- MD certification as a Radiologic Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technologist or Registered RDMS
- CPR Certified

Physical Demands:
Medium Work Lifting up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes) and/or carrying up to 25 pounds while walking. Pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds infrequently or up to 115 pounds occasionally (no more than once per hour). Moderate walking and standing and periods of sitting at a computer terminal.

Reports to Manager of Imaging Services and receives direction from Manager and Director.

Pay is based on experience skills and education. If position is parttime salary will be prorated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. NonExempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid if applicable.
Salary Range: $73964.80to$109512.00
