Job Description
Mechanic Heavy Equipment Technician
TranSource Truck & Equipment Inc. is a growing company representing Volvo Construction Equipment and other Heavy Equipment Lines to support the Construction and Agriculture Industry. We are currently looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Field Technician for our Sioux Falls location.
An Equipment Service Technician must be able to:
- Diagnose and repair equipment including compactors excavators loaders and other heavy construction equipment.
- Respond promptly to customer needs in a positive supportive and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.
- Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed.
- Complete service reports order parts and maintain clear customer records.
- Work independently.
Qualifications:
- Twoyear technical degree plus 25 years experience as a diesel/equipment field. Prefer experience in a dealership setting. Prefer certifications in Mack VOLVO Cummins etc. Proven Field Service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulics transmissions undercarriage track systems and components pneumatic electrical and fuel systems.
- Previous experience working on Volvo equipment is preferred.
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service.
- Computer written and verbal communication skills.
