About the job
In this role you lead the strategical purchasing activities in the areas of IT Telecom and Digital according to our procurement guidelines and metrics. By analyzing our portfolio and aligning IT capabilities with longterm strategic objectives and technology roadmaps you enable a competitive advantage and digital transformation.
You work closely with IT and other business functions to identify lead and manage sourcing cases in accordance with the IT roadmap within Seco and SMS (Sandvik Machining Solutions). To find synergies and drive collaboration between the divisions within SMS you take an active part in various collaboration forums ensuring a sustainable supplier base by integrating environmental social and governance (ESG) criteria into the procurement process. This includes evaluating suppliers sustainability practices and promoting the adoption of green technologies and solutions.
Further responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing sourcing projects as well as negotiating contracts and initiatives to enhance supplier cost efficiency and performance.
- Creating and following implementation of contracts.
- Acting as a speaking partner for IT and establishing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Supporting in developing and maintaining our IT Sourcing Strategy in tight collaboration with Seco IT business functions and the SMS business area.
- Being accountable for master data with supplier and price information considered.
- Leading and participating in Supplier Relationship Management activities with strategic suppliers.
The location for this role is flexible within Sweden. Frequent visits to our headquarters in Fagersta are required as thats where your team are located. We offer you a hybrid work setup allowing you to combine remote and office work. Some travel may occur.
Your profile
Were looking for a senior purchaser with extensive knowledge in different IT sourcing models such as managed services cloud computing and infrastructure. Your background includes creating strategic partnerships with IT vendors sourcing and procurement of digital workplace services and products such as collaboration tools telecom and service desk. Good business acumen is essential as well as understanding legal matters such as contract negotiation security and compliance (DPA IT Safety & Security). Since we act in a truly international environment you need experience from working in a global matrix organization and proficiency in both written and verbal English.
